First wave of 3D-enabled displays flying off store shelves.
US, March 17, 2010 - This month the first wave of 3D
TVs from Samsung and Panasonic hit retailers, and according to a report
today from Business Week, they've been welcomed with open arms by
consumers.
Panasonic said today that its 3D TVs have sold out nationwide in just
one week of availability. The early success of Panasonic's 3D offering
certainly doesn't solidify the long-term marketability of 3D TV
technology, but it is a step in the right direction. The company has
said that it will ramp up display production to meet demand.
